A butterfly-style cloth diaper is simply an absorbent insert designed to soak up moisture and catch solids. Its unique butterfly shape provides excellent absorbency, dries quickly, and sits comfortably against your baby’s body. Each insert is made from multiple layers of 100% birdseye cotton. The exact number of layers depends on the size. The fabric is woven in Poland from unbleached, OEKO-TEX–certified cotton.

Washing Instructions

• Machine wash at 60°C (140°F).

• Avoid ironing, as heat can reduce absorbency.

• Do not dry clean.

• Tumble drying is possible, but may shorten the lifespan of the insert.

• Do not bleach.

• Line drying is recommended.

• Use a white detergent containing TAED (Tetraacetylethylenediamine) for best results.

Before First Use

To help remove natural oils from the cotton, soak the insert overnight in hot water with a small amount of dish soap before its first wash. Cotton needs 5–9 washes to reach full absorbency. You can start using the insert after the first wash, just remember to change it more often until it reaches peak performance.

Daily Care

After each use, the insert should go into the wash. If stains remain after washing, place the damp insert in direct sunlight, the sun naturally lifts stains and helps keep the fabric bright. Note that light staining does not mean the insert is still dirty, unless there is an unpleasant smell. If odours remain, it may be worth reviewing the wash routine.
